Ultimaker Cura crashes when a file is attempted to load onto the build plate

Reproduction steps

The program crashes when a file is attempted to load onto the build plate. I have checked for the Chitubox thumbnail, but I can't seem to find the right version as the command portal says that it can't find the file version stated.

Actual results

The command prompt doesn't recognize the Chitubox file version.

Expected results

The Chitubox thumbnail should be removed.

I can only assume you're following commands similar to what are listed here to disable the Chitubox thumbnail explorer extension. However, you appear to have misunderstood Windows command line syntax.

Given what you've shown, the command you likely need to enter should look like this:
regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\CHITUBOX64 1.0.0\CHITUBOX_Thumbnail.dll"

You need to have the space between "regsvr32" and "/u", and the path (which contains spaces) needs to be encapsulated in quotation marks so that it is recognised as one, continuous input. However it is not case sensitive - you can use all upper or lower case if you want and it will make no difference.

Note that this will only work if your Chitubox install is indeed under "CHITUBOX64 1.0.0" - if it is elsewhere you will need to alter the command appropriately. If you're not sure where it is, you can run a quick check using the following command:
dir "C:\Program Files\CHITUBOX*.*"

If you do not have Chitubox installed none of this will do anything and further diagnostics will be required. But we'll run with the assumption that you do have it for now and deal with that later.
