V 2025.12.1 : Issue in party Mode

Let's start with the traditional “Happy New Year.”

Yesterday, I played in Party mode classic with my friends and we noticed an issue.

After Each song , USDX played always the same song !

We had to use wildcards to get another song.

And this was true whether we selected all the songs or used a playlist!

I can reproduce this bug (remove all but 1 playlist with 2 songs -> start party mode). It is related to #1114 and fixed in #1128 (just tested it on #1129 which includes #1128 and confirmed that the bug does not occur there).

@Davonex if you want, you can try the build artifacts from #1129 (there are compiled binaries for Windows, macOS, and Linux) or from #1128 to confirm whether it fixes the bug

I was unable to test it.
I was able to install the fix version.

I use Version 2026.2.0 (Flatpak) and still encounter this behaviour: Party mode always starts with the same song, as soon as I have any playlists.

If I delete all playlists in the config folder, party mode behaves as expected again.

I can confirm, just ran into this issue last Friday and it's a real bummer.

can anyone of you try #1128 or #1129 ? i fixed it in there. you don't have to compile it yourself - the pull request has precompiled portable and installer binaries attached

I would try it gladly, I cannot find the portable (Appimage?) file for Linux though.

it is called "Image Artifact" in the linux build job.

#1129 is the big beta with a lot of bug fixes and improvements (volume bars, etc.)

the specific fix for this is in #1128 -- @barbeque-squared it's not a big commit, maybe this could go into the next release?
