OpenGL software rendering warning on raspberry pi 5

See title, I get this warning since I upgraded to 2026.04: 'You appear to be using software rendering OpenGL. Expect bad performance'. I didn't get this with my previous version (2025.12 I believe). Performance is indeed slow at 1080p. By lowering the resolution performance is ok, but the warning stays.

• Can I as a short term solution disable this warning somehow?
• How can I fix this? glxgears and glxinfo show hardware acceleration is enabled.

I'm using the flatpak from flathub.

I can't see any changes in the recent past of our code that would influence the graphics driver initialization. Can you try older versions to narrow down when the problem appeared?

Use

flatpak remote-info --log flathub eu.usdx.UltraStarDeluxe

to list the commit IDs of the available older versions and then use

flatpak update --commit CommitID eu.usdx.UltraStarDeluxe

to downgrade to the selected version.
