[Feature Request] Possible to extend to have raw metadata get published/pushed?

my usecase is i want to get BPM to send to VLC for reasons
i am prolly gonna write a python script to watch for filesystem updates and control VLC via their api, but seems a bit cumbersome.

more straight forward to pub/sub on a websocket or somesuch and push a json object

if you havent the time but can give an estimate of complexity would be helpful too :)

thanks for the project! but also think of all those write cycles on your SSD 😂
