itch.io download flagged by site as suspicious

When attempting to download the Windows version on itch.io, the site notifies me that the creator's activity on the site is suspicious, and the file is 'quarantined'. A reputable site like that is unlikely to get it wrong, even if using an automated system to detect this kind of thing. I suggest reviewing the files hosted there, as itch.io has a history of accounts being hacked and downloads being replaced with malware or being recompiled to contain malware. This is a risk especially for you, @ej-sanmartin, since the source code is public, and thus it is easy to pull off for hackers. The exploding popularity of this app means that it is 'prime real estate' for hackers to exploit, and thus you likely have a target on your back. I recommend using hashes to verify the files hosted on itch.io match actual verified files on GitHub ASAP.

I believe the Windows issue has always been present unfortunately, since the Unveil itch.io account is newer.

Mac version is luckily notified and secured but I'll work on added layers of verification for the Window's version.

Yes, @ej-sanmartin, the MacOS version also has the error. I just checked. By the way, is there going to be support for customizeable map tiles that aren't purely squares, and don't go edge to edge of a grid square? In other words, is it on the roadmap? If not, I ask if you could put it on the roadmap as priority, and if not, I will make a feature request and be content with using ConCon's MapMapper (which I am absolutely certain you took inspiration from, since you used JSON format for the map data just like Connor; I am not complaining, however, since you're extremely clearly doing a rewrite of it from scratch) in the meantime. Super Metroid romhacks made with SMART use a new tileset for the map, and the biggest reason Connor discontinued it is because his way of implementing the map maker didn't support the new tile style, and due to the code being a mess, even he, the creator, couldn't change the code to allow for it, and since that meant a rewrite, he put it off indefinitely.

Also, I am playing a Metroid Zero Mission romhack that also uses a new map tile style, entirely different from the new Super Metroid ones, so I really want the tiles to be customizeable. Also, ConCon's MapMapper also has a 'hammer' mode that changes specific tiles into 'alternative' forms based on specific conditions, such as being in a corner of a room that is at least 2x2 tiles, being in the inner tiles of a horizontal tunnel at least 3 wide, which creates a 'tunnel tile' (this has the limitation of not being usable on 1x1 or 1x2 tunnels, which I do not like). It would be best to NOT go with a tool to change a tile's form like that, but to essentially allow a tile table, similar to how most metroidvanias actually do it, and letting us effectively design the map we need that way. This tool as it is is really only good for prototyping, not for finished or in-development products.

For the roadmap, it's not finalized but there isn't a prioritization for non square or rectangular tiles. It would be interesting, but I haven't thought of that yet. But non side by side rooms is in the roadmap.

I actually haven't used ConCon's MapMapper yet, though I've heard of it. I was meaning to try it out and get some more inspiration and see what other tools are common amongst tile-based map makers.

Finally, this tool is primarily for the prototyping phase though I have thought about how to have maps be able to translate to levels in some way for your game engine of choice.
