Information about how to participate in the (new) SeriesGuide beta program.

To get into the new beta program there is now some more effort required:

1. First, join the SeriesGuide community on Google+. Only members of this community can access the page in the next step.
2. Now visit the testing program page and follow the instructions there. If you ever want to leave the beta program, simply return to that page and choose the appropriate option.
3. Finally, visit the Google Play store to update to the latest beta version.

To provide feedback on the beta, post to the community or submit issue reports or feature requests.

What is different?

The new beta is not a separate app like before, it is the regular free version of SeriesGuide. This means you will NOT have access to the X features by default, they will be restricted to supporting users. To get them:

• Purchase the X Upgrade (still experimental!) inside the app.

or

• Install SeriesGuide X (works like a key).

How do I purchase the in-app upgrade?

1. From the show list, touch Menu .
2. Touch Settings.
3. Touch Services.
4. Touch Get X Upgrade and try it out!

How do I migrate my shows from SeriesGuide beta?

In SeriesGuide beta:

1. From the show list, touch Menu .
2. Touch Settings.
3. Touch Advanced.
4. Touch Backup/Restore and follow the given instructions to create a backup.
5. Switch to SeriesGuide and repeat those steps, but choose Restore instead.

What will happen to the old beta app?

SeriesGuide beta will remain in the Play store until I can be confident that most of you could switch.
