Can't load in a DTA file

Dear

The application is no longer able to load the DTA file. It simply shows flat lines. An other older app called LuxeProbe still does load in the DTA file.

I have restarted my internet connection and my heatpump luxtronik controller, sadly the issue still remains.

My heatpump is an Alpha Innotec SWC 140 H/K with a luxtronik 2.0 controller, it has the latest available firmware.

The official Alpha control app has the same issue.

For a still unknown reason, there are 22 extra bytes between the header and the first valid data set:

df00ee023200b400c8000000000000005b07f5250b00

Looking at the end of the extra bytes, the third to last value is equal to the software version:

df00ee023200b400c800000000000000>5b07<f5250b00
5b07 (little endian) = 0x075b = 1883 = 1.88.3 = expected software version

The extra bytes appear to be a cut off data set.

When skipping these extra bytes, all data sets are read out as expected.

I guess for whatever reason the data logger must have written a partial data set.

I'm not sure, yet, if this is

• expected behavior in the new software (unlikely)
• a software bug (maybe triggered by a power outage?)

The odd thing is that this does not resolve itself once the data logger exceeds the 48 hour max log size (or is the internal log maybe bigger?) and it overwrites old data. I'm not sure if there is any way to reset the data logger. I don't have access to a controller right now, so you might have to figure this out yourself.

I have just reinstalled the heatpump firmware. I did not solve the problem.

To my knowledge you can't manualy reset the data logger functionality.

I'm also lacking knowledge here. I guess at this point your best option is to contact the folks at Alpha Innotec.

I reached out some time ago to Alpha Innotec, they released a new firmware version which has fixed the issue and added better smart grid functionality according to the changelog.

@flyingcards Thanks for the update! Do you know which version fixes this? And also where did you get a changelog? I never could find one. Edit: never mind, they added an info button next to the download button which now contains recent changes:
