Question about update modes

If I set update.mode: "none" in settings.json (disable auto-updates and background updates entirely), does it still auto-update extensions?

Yes, it should. update.mode is only for the editor.

Thanks! I set it because here on Linux I update via my package manager, so it doesn't make sense to let the app check for updates.
