Triggering OS dialogs crashes VSCodium

Describe the bug
Actions that open a system window crashes VSCodium.

Please confirm that this problem is VSCodium-specific

• This bug doesn't happen if I use Microsoft's Visual Studio Code. It only happens in VSCodium.

Please confirm that the issue/resolution isn't already documented

• I checked the Docs page and the Troubleshooting page and my issue is not mentioned there.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to the top menu
2. Click an option that opens a system window:
   • File > Open folder
   • Help > About
3. Software crashes

Expected behavior
Software doesn't crash.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• OS: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
• Architecture: x64
• Version: 1.108.20787
• App Manager: Snap Store
• Sandboxed: Snap

Additional context
Deleting a file also crashes the program. I pressume this is because of the system delete file confirmation dialog.

I have the same exact issue.

It also crash when trying to delete files from the file explorer sidebar or trying to close a file that has changes in it without saving first.

I had the issue with v1.108.20787, tried to update to v1.109.21026 (in snap) but it would not start. So removed the snap install and installed the deb package of v1.109.21026 and it does not exhibit this issue anymore.

1.108.20787 appears to have been retired. Current stable reverted to 1.105.17075.

Will keep an eye on it and close this issue when the next version that works is available.
