Has anyone found the cause or a solution?

Remark that the responsible file cmake/projects.cmake was autogenerated by valama. Advice in the file is to not change the file manually. The questions is how we can correct an autogenerated error if we can't get valama compiled.

Edit: I tried rename the directory cmake, but the directory does not get autogenerated, and causes the build to fail early.

You can remove the version strings in cmake/guanako.cmake and cmake/project.cmake but then you will have to deal with an incompatible libvala version. This project was built for Vala 0.30.
