I confirm:
- [x] that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
- [x] that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.
Symptoms
- The game crashes before entering the main menu
- The reason for the crash seems to be SteamAPI_Init() failing (as seen in the games crash log - line 262)
- [WORKAROUND] Launching the game's *.exe via Lutris (not via Steam) results in the game launching to the login screen, where the player can login with a separately created game account on the dev's website. From here the game is playable and works as expected (without Steamworks functionality of course).
Reproduction
- Launch the windows version of the game via Steam. After the loading icon in the bottom left corner the game will crash.
Further notes
- The game has a native Linux version which is not very playable (visual glitches, bad performance) atm. Launching the .exe via Lutris and with ACO compiler enabled works much better for me.
