HDMI On Steam Deck - Uses The Decks Speakers And Not The TVs #2210

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
I have my steam deck connected to my tv with an hdmi cable and I want it to use my TVs speakers but instead it uses the decks speakers every time. I have tried doing things like going to the audio option and trying to select the different output options but none of them work. Also tried using different HDMI cables but that did not work either.
Asking around on the steam forums I found that this command in the terminal
speaker-test -Dplughw:0,8 -c2
Would play a sound. I think after some commands after that I got the sound to play on my TV's speakers instead of the Decks but then an update came along for the steam deck and it went right back to using the steam decks speakers even though It's connected to the TV.
