[Bug]: (iOS) Cannot share logs ("An Error occurred", "No email clients found!")

Description

Attempting to share logs via email fails on my iOS 26 device. My default mail app is Gmail. I've previously been able to share logs. GitSync appears to be version 1.8.02 according to the latest App Store changelog and the lack of an "update" button,. (Can you please include this in the app settings, an about screen, and/or the GitSync settings in the iOS settings app?)

Minimal Reproduction

• Tap on "Share Logs" in the settings
• Observe the notification "<GitSynd Error> Tap to send a bug report"
• Tap on the notification or ignore it
• Go to the home screen and return to GitSync
• Observe the error popup "An Error Occurred" I included below

Thanks for reporting this! I'm going to try and reproduce this on my end and get back to you. If you like, you can copy and paste from the logs screen into a new issue for now. The logs screen is accessed by tapping the grey circle where the syncing progress spinner usually appears

Can you also rephrase this because I didn't fully understand what you wanted added 🙏🏾

I tried, but I can't. I can select text within the log screen, but the context menu to copy (or select all, etc.) doesn't appear. I therefore included a screenshot of the relevant section of the log screen instead.

Ah right, I hadn't noticed that before. I'll see if there's a way to get the context menu back. 🙏🏾

No worries, I'll add something to the bottom of the global settings just so you don't have to dive into the play store page when you want to confirm 👌🏾

Seeing as the other two methods don't want to work, does the "Report a bug" button still work for you at least? There were some github auth scope issues before but it should be functional now 🤞🏾

Yes, it does, although I'm a bit confused that I need to OAuth again even though I can currently clone repos using the existing OAuth setting:

After accepting the OAuth prompt and following the steps in the browser, I see this popup.

Since I'm hesitant to post an issue without being able to inspect the logs first (in case they contain information I don't want to share publicly), I won't be using this feature. But it looks like this would have worked as a backup.

I hope the existing logs help you with this, if not, feel free to close the issue :)

Hey, an update on this
I've added the version number to the settings page and defaulted to using the first repo's saved auth if you're using github oauth, for issue reporting :) (will be in the next update, not yet available)
Other bits you mentioned are on my list and will be tackled over time too 👌🏾

On this particular error, according to this open issue in the lib I'm using for this, iOS has some weird behaviour with defaults and/or Gmail is not supported by the lib. It's not super clear, but for now all I really think I can do is make the error less abrasive (possibly just a toast saying Gmail isn't supported).

By the way, in the "Report a bug" popup, I'm unable to scroll up or down within the text boxes and read/edit previous lines.

Based on your feedback I've changed a few things in the latest beta that I would appreciate some testing on 🙏🏾

You can now

• hold to copy the errors in the error dialog
• see the app version number at the bottom of the global settings
• view the logs from the dialog, immediately before submitting a bug report
