MC/DC – Memory Cache with Dictionary Compression

Definitions
-----------
“Software” means the MC/DC codebase, including source code, binaries,
documentation, and related materials.

“Database Server” means Redis, Valkey, Memcached, or derivative/forked
implementations.

“Third-Party Service” means any product, platform, or offering provided
to external customers over a network.

“Derivative Work” includes any modification, fork, extension, or other
work based on or incorporating the Software.

Grant of Rights
---------------
You may use, modify, compile, and distribute the Software or Derivative
Works for any purpose, including commercial internal usage, **except as
restricted below**.

Restrictions
------------
1. **No Redis/Valkey/Memcached-as-a-Service Usage**

   Neither the Software nor any Derivative Work may be used as part of:

   - any third-party managed Redis service,
   - any third-party managed Valkey service,
   - any third-party managed Memcached service,
   - any derivative database server offered *as a service* whose primary
     function is hosting Redis/Valkey/Memcached-compatible instances.

   This restriction applies regardless of:
   - whether the Software is modified,
   - whether the Software is linked statically or dynamically,
   - whether the Software is bundled, embedded, forked, renamed,
     or otherwise transformed.

2. All other uses—including internal commercial deployments—are permitted
   and unrestricted.

3. You must keep this license file when redistributing the Software or any
   Derivative Work.

No Warranty

Provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.

Termination
-----------
This license terminates automatically if you violate the Restrictions above.
