Support for maxscale 2.5?

Maxscale 2.5 has deprecated the maxinfo listener used by maxscale_exporter. Any plans to release a new exporter package using the maxscale REST API to collect measurements from maxscale-2.5?
If not, we (Nokia) may need to do this work and we could either create a new github or contribute back to this one. Thoughts?

@rvlane no plans from our side to do this at the moment since we're on an older version that still supports the maxinfo listener. I wasn't even aware they dropped the maxinfo listener in 2.5.

It would be great if you could contribute back to this repo to overall make this exporter better. From my side I could help by doing a review of your pull request or helping out if you have any questions. Once done I can cut a release so everyone can use it. 👍

Would be great to work together with people like you from Nokia on this issue! 😄

@RubenHoms, with Maxscale 6.X a thing now, are there any plans to update the exporter to support more modern versions of Maxscale?

And @rvlane, any chance y'all did the updates to use the REST API to collect measurements?

We now use the maxctrl_exporter from https://github.com/vbezgachev/maxctrl_exporter.
They implemented the maxctrl REST API interface for collecting measurements in maxscale-2.5 and later (we are using maxscale-6).
This also implements SSL/TLS to maxscale 8989 port.
