Description
What kind of aspect would you like to add to Scholia?
An aspect for strings, so as to assist in disambiguation, topic tagging and other forms of curation.
Alternatively, string-centric queries could be added to more curation pages or to a dedicated "string" subaspect.
It would focus on string-type properties relevant to Scholia queries, especially P1476 (title) and P2093 (author name string) or P1932 (stated as).
What would be good candidates for visualizations within such an aspect?
- entities containing the string in their labels, descriptions or aliases
- authors
- works
- journals
- publishers
- chemicals
- events
- etc. - essentially anything for which we already have an aspect
- authors who have
- published about such entities
- attended such events
- other relationships to such entities
Which Wikidata entries would be good candidates to explore such visualizations?
Some example queries:
- papers containing the string "xenopus laevis" in their lowercased title
- common author name strings in papers containing the string "hip joint"
Which of the existing aspects could or should link to or from this new aspect?
This is mostly useful as a complement to curation and lexeme pages.
Anything else?
There could be cases involving multiple strings, e.g. this query for papers where the author string (lowercase-normalized) contains the string "wang" and the paper title contains the strings "virus" and "cell".
