Total beginner, macro compromises media content

I am completely new to ASS. I am trying to set up a macro that after 5 seconds (or other time) from the start of the scene->videosource switches to the next scene.
It doesn't work even though the control highlights are all green, but the most embarrassing thing is that even after stopping the macro and restarting OBS the media content just doesn't work anymore.
I have to delete the macro, scene, sourcea, and start all over again.

I can't figure out whether it is me who has misunderstood the working principle or there is something incompatible.

I am a Mini M4 with Sequoia and the version of ASS is the latest.
If there is any kind-hearted person who can help me out of the quagmire of not being able to progress with ASS it would be greatly appreciated

I am not sure what would trigger the media source to no longer work.
Would you mind sharing the macro(s) you have set up currently? (Either by exporting them, export all settings to a file, or creating screenshots, if they are not too complicated.)
Maybe I can spot the issue.

Hi @WarmUpTill, thank you for your comment.
Reading the documentation you provided, I realized where I went wrong: despite being new to both OBS and ASS and wanting to work on both scenes and sources, I simply tried to rush into complex macros without having mastered the basics yet. I would add that I presumptuously tried to “interpret” some commands in a general way.
I apologize for the almost useless post, but it helped me understand that I needed to approach the plugin in a completely different way.
