abstract: >
Aurora Workflow Orchestration (AWO) is a reproducible research methodology
that formalizes scientific workflows into explicit, auditable phases governed
by artifact-first documentation, role separation, and provable provenance.
AWO v2.0.0 defines the structural and procedural requirements for initiating,
contributing to, reviewing, approving, and auditing research in a way that
remains deterministic, replayable, and institution-agnostic. While not an
enforcement engine itself, AWO provides the canonical governance layer that
downstream tooling (e.g., CRI-CORE) can validate against for compliance.
