First i have to say: Your idea and solution is absolutely great and since 1 hour the Waveshare Display is running fine (based on your great installation help / documentation). Thanks for that.
One issue: By shutting down the RasPi the display stays alive. How could i power off the display when shutting down the raspberry?
Some questions:
- i read in the config files that it would be possible to use the display in landscape format. Do you have some hints for me to get this working?
- my goal is to use the same display with touch option (the Waveshare model too) and let the display go off after some minutes and to reactivate by touching it. Therefore it would be nice to get some hints too. At the end the touch should activate the display first and with a second touch i want to display a small menu (HOME (like it is actual the stats screen, HOME2 (with other stats data from influx), SHUTDOWN and REBOOT
- trying to change the backlight to 50% or 25% does not work - it is based on the "workaround pin 17 on Raspberry 5"?
The whole setup should be placed in a DIN/REG case and based on your STEP-files i will make a new "front-cover" for the Waveshare DIN case.
I think i could make a fork of your repo and add the new created files or i could send you all files for your repo if they are ready.
Regards André
