Just noticed on https://github.com/blog/2469-build-on-your-workflow-with-four-new-marketplace-apps that they have translation platforms added now. Not sure if it makes sense, or what the work required is though.

This is my roadmap for quote some time, however we first need automated integration with GitHub...

I've finally found some time to look into this and I tried to write down what will be needed here.

There is existing Hosted Weblate GitHub App so far it receives webhooks, but does nothing more.

What the app should do:

• Track app installation and uninstallation
• Track access tokens for pushing to the repos
• Authenticated webhooks for repository updates
• Track available repositories, so that we can offer repositories to install
• Map GitHub users (project admins) to Weblate users to check their permissions
• Allow adding GitHub repos, see Guided import #2174
• The initial workflow for adding a repository should be as smooth as possible.
