Enable H.264 Encoding

I cannot seem to find any documentation in this repository that would help clarify how to build from source specifically to enable H.264 encoding.

Currently most iPhones use this encoding and so it makes it impossible to pull frames when it's missing if our end users are using iOS.

I have tried and failed to follow some suggestions on the forums, ChatGPT fails to assist.

I've figured out how to build from source but require assistance on the part where we pass args to enable the patented encoding. Any assistance is extremely appreciated.

Looking at the .gni files, I think the flags you're interested in are proprietary_codecs and rtc_use_h264. You should be able to add overrides for these args just like other args in the nix.gni file that's read by CMake when running the build. You can either modify this file once, or, modify shell.nix which creates this file.
