ReLogin in Steam while trying to install mods

Hello sometimes I have this error trying to join server with new mods, it looks like it's happening when I launch steam on itself and not through dayz-ctl.

Once steam has been started manually then it's putting this error every time I want to install mods. Even after exiting steam and launching dayz-ctl instead to open steam.

The problem is dayz-ctl only prompt me "Disable SteamCMD" in the config menu, how do I perform a login ?

Yes, SteamCMD exhibits very strange behavior when the Steam client is running simultaneously. They seem to try to share a common login session, and when both are running simultaneously, something strange happens.

I haven't fully figured out what this is or why it happens. So, I left SteamCMD as an option. When SteamCMD is running, I force-close the Steam client. This seems to have somewhat corrected the behavior, but everyone has different environments, and it may work differently.

The only correct solution is to rewrite the launcher in a proper programming language and use the Steamworks SDK for low-level work with Worksop. But that's beyond the scope of this project.

How do you force close the Steam client ? Either exiting steam or killing process doesn't seems to solve the issue on my side :/

Maybe something has changed over time. For now, everything works fine for me on Ubuntu 22.04.

By the way, the official launcher with Proton has already been patched and can install and enable mods. Yes, it has a lot of scams in the server list, it takes a long time to load the list, and the filtering isn't very flexible—but it works.

I'd probably make some changes to the launcher, but I don't know what to fix yet.

It works but sometimes there are servers in my favorite list that I cannot click "join" but my friends can on their side.

Also speaking about friends, the "friends" tab isn't showing any server my friends are currently playing on. It used to work but somehow the launcher regress
