Description

@StevenDufresne

Installing WordPress is a critical user function and users are actively look for "Install WordPress" documentation.

As we currently have it, the top level item is "Before you install" and installation documentation is included in that section. That isn't expected. As a user you would expect the opposite where install prerequisites are included in the install section.
Additionally, if a user has a collapsed menu, you wouldn't know where to find the install steps.

Many web hosts now offer tools (e.g. Fantastico) to automatically install WordPress for you. However, if you wish to install WordPress yourself, the following guide will help.

Things to Know Before Installing WordPress
Before you begin the install, there are a few things you need to have and do. Refer the article Before You Install.
If you need multiple WordPress instances, refer Installing Multiple WordPress Instances.

Proposed Changes

  • Move "Install WordPress" to top level

  • Move "Before you install" as first item under "Install WordPress"
