Description

While testing the Core AI excerpt generation feature in WordPress 7.0 RC, I noticed an issue with the generated output.

Expected behavior:

The excerpt should contain only clean, ready-to-use content
No extra instructional or UI-related text should be included

Actual behavior:

The generated excerpt includes a prefix:

Here's an excerpt suggestion:
This text appears at the beginning of the excerpt field and can be saved as-is

Why this is an issue:

UX Issue: Users may not notice or remove this extra text
SEO Impact: This prefix can appear in meta descriptions or search snippets, reducing professionalism and clarity
Content Quality: AI output should be production-ready without instructional phrases

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

  1. Opened a post in the editor
  2. Clicked on “Generate excerpt”
  3. The AI generated an excerpt automatically
