Showcase project install not working with latest `@wordpress/env`

We use "setup:wp": "wp-env run cli \"bash env/setup.sh\"" in some of our project configurations but its not working on a fresh install of wporg-showcase-2022.

Downgrading solved the issue for me. I have not had a chance to diagnose.

WordPress/gutenberg#50980
