Research: Investigate if application bearing the same name should be overwritten or doubly-installed

Hello I think the application should be overwritten. If it's doubly installed, it would cause confusion when you run things like tockloader uninstall "app1" (because two apps would have the same string in the header). One other approach could be maybe doubly install it using some convention like , app1, app1-1, app1-2, etc? (like how windows handles files having the same name). And also prompt the user if he wants it overwritten or installed again alongside the first one?

from what I understand tockloader defaults to overwriting. They have the --no-replace flag when installing an app if you want to bypass overwriting.
Should we implement the same thing?

Hello. I also think the application should be overwritten. Before that the user should have a choice: either to overwrite the installed app or create another one, but with a different name, like Nicolas suggested. This would provide a user-friendly interface, in my opinion.
