Matcher for when the opened window is the first in the workspace

It seemed a waste to me to open windows at 50% screen width when the window is the only one open in the workspace. I tried to make this window-rule to make the first window opened be maximized, but it didn't work. I figured that no other windows were focused in a new workspace, so it would be focused by default.

    match is-focused=true

    open-maximized true
}

Do we need a new matcher to accomplish this? I'd like to take a crack at it if so.

I've been tinkering around implementing this using IPC for a little bit and I see now that I may have misinterpreted your message. Do you want this to be a feature, or are you saying I could achieve this outside of Niri itself by wrapping niri msg?

The reason I ask is because it looks like the only time where IPC Requests are handled within Niri itself is in the main file and it's not used anywhere else inside Niri internally. My current implementation hangs, I think because I sent the request in the same process that handles it without realizing it, whoops. I could try to sidestep the socket and handle it all within the process that evaluates the conditions, but getting the context to that point looks like it'd be messy (though I haven't looked much into the WindowRef struct and how mapping that works).

This commit shows what I would have this look like if it were a feature.

Yes. Make a script/tool that listens to the niri event stream, see when a new window opens on an empty workspace, and maximize it via niri IPC.
