TCA/Overrides of pages. tx_yoastseo_hide_snippet_preview not possible

Please give us a description of what happened.

The general way to override TCA is:

1. require the package (make sure that the order of exts is correct)
2. Override via mypackage/Configuration/TCA/Overrides/pages.php and set following override: $GLOBALS['TCA']['pages']['columns']['tx_yoastseo_hide_snippet_preview']['config']['default'] = 1;

Please describe what you expected to happen and why.

The mentioned TCA override does not work as expected. An integrator must have the possbility to override TCA of this extension. Especially if it's the pages table

How can we reproduce this behavior?

I've tried to reproduce the error but I can't find the problem, what I did:

• Updated the sitepackage with the composer requirement for yoast-seo-for-typo3/yoast-seo
• Ran composer update to make sure the loading orders are correct
• Added a Configuration/TCA/Overrides/pages.php file with the content:
  • $GLOBALS['TCA']['pages']['columns']['tx_yoastseo_hide_snippet_preview']['config']['default'] = 1;

And when I check the Configuration module the changed TCA is loaded correctly:

And when I then create a new page the checkbox is set correctly:

We don't do anything differently for TCA for pages, yes we call a service to set the TCA:

But inside that service there are direct calls to all the normal TCA utilities.

But that doesn't affect the pages TCA.
