In Yoast SEO -> Settings -> Advanced -> Breadcrumbs section there's the Enable breadcrumbs for your theme toggle, which should control if breadcrumbs are rendered (both on the frontend and in the schema output). It however doesn't work at all.
Step-by-step reproduction instructions
- Go to

Enable breadcrumbs for your themetooff - Edit a post and insert the
Yoast Breadcrumbsblock - Visit the post in the frontend and verify:
