Prerequisites

  • I've searched for any related issues and avoided creating a duplicate issue.

Please give us a description of what happened

In Yoast SEO -> Settings -> Advanced -> Breadcrumbs section there's the Enable breadcrumbs for your theme toggle, which should control if breadcrumbs are rendered (both on the frontend and in the schema output). It however doesn't work at all.

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

  1. Go to Yoast SEO -> Settings -> Advanced -> Breadcrumbs
  2. Switch Enable breadcrumbs for your theme to off
  3. Edit a post and insert the Yoast Breadcrumbs block
  4. Visit the post in the frontend and verify:

Expected results

  1. No Yoast Breadcrum block output should be present in the frontend
  2. No BreadcrumbList schema piece should be present in the page source graph

Actual results

  1. The Yoast Breadcrum block output is present in the frontend
  2. The BreadcrumbList schema piece ispresent in the page source graph
