YourSSH is an open-source project for developers, operators, and contributors from different backgrounds. We want repository discussions, issues, pull requests, reviews, chats, and other community spaces to stay respectful, practical, and safe for everyone involved.
We as members, contributors, and maintainers pledge to make participation in the YourSSH community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, caste, color, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
We also pledge to act and interact in ways that support an open, welcoming, inclusive, and healthy community.
Examples of behavior that contribute to a positive environment include:
- Showing empathy, patience, and professionalism
- Being respectful of differing viewpoints, experience levels, and workflows
- Giving and accepting constructive feedback in good faith
- Taking responsibility for mistakes and helping resolve them
- Focusing on what is best for the project and its community
Examples of unacceptable behavior include:
- Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or hateful conduct
- Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
- Sexualized language, imagery, or unwelcome sexual attention
- Publishing or threatening to publish someone else's private information without explicit permission
- Sharing secrets, credentials, private infrastructure details, or personal data in public project spaces when doing so could put others at risk
- Any other conduct that could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting
Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing these standards of acceptable behavior. Maintainers may remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, issues, discussions, or other contributions that are not aligned with this Code of Conduct, and may take fair corrective action when needed.
This Code of Conduct applies within all YourSSH community spaces, including the repository, issue tracker, pull requests, discussions, and related communication channels. It also applies when an individual is officially representing the project in public spaces, such as through an official email address, project social account, or event participation on behalf of YourSSH.
Instances of abusive, harassing, unsafe, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported through any of these channels:

If a report includes sensitive information, private data, or infrastructure details, prefer email instead of posting publicly. Maintainers will review reports promptly, handle them as discreetly as reasonably possible, and aim to protect the privacy and safety of the people involved.
Maintainers may use the following guideline when deciding consequences for violations of this Code of Conduct:
For minor or first-time issues, maintainers may provide a private explanation of the problem and request a change in behavior.
For a more serious or repeated issue, maintainers may issue a warning and set clear expectations for future behavior.
For serious misconduct or repeated violations, maintainers may temporarily restrict participation in project spaces.
For sustained harmful behavior, harassment, doxxing, retaliation, or repeated refusal to follow community standards, maintainers may permanently ban participation in project spaces.
