Can TSReadEX be used for anything?

Can TSReadEX (https://github.com/xtne6f/tsreadex) be used for anything? I just want to know if it can help Tardsplaya in regards to what it currently does. I don't care about the extra features it has since they don't apply to what Tardsplaya is designed for.
