Lunge Enchantment doesn't work

**Minecraft version** - 1.21.11
**Mod loader** - Fabric
**Mod version** - 3.0
**I am using the latest version available** -Yes

**Describe the bug**
The lunge enchantment doesn't lunge the player unless they are hitting something.

**Expected behavior**
Lunge should lunge the player whenever they use the spear's regular attack, like in vanilla
