You should be able to use the Tools -> Generate view to first delete all of the assets for one of the missing days and then regenerate all of them. You can monitor the log at |

Hi Aaron Thanks I'll try that I did notice that I had this message in the Tools -> Generate window 281 I cant find where this is enabled though - is it in the config somewhere I apologise for all the questions but as you have probably gathered I have only had my system up and running for about a week Regards Graham |

I reviewed your settings and you do not have any file transfers enabled. This is just an error in my logic and you can ignore that message about "end of night". I will fix this. |

Hi Aaron I have somehow managed to set Moon Mode on but I cant see how to turn it off https://myallskycamera.ddns.net/indi-allsky/ Can you point me in the general area However I have just realised that it may be automatic because the moon is showing -but is there a way of disabling it anyway Thanks Graham |

Moon Mode parameters are set on the Location tab (at the bottom). Moon mode is enabled once the moon is above the altitude and percentage configured. If you set the altitude to 91, it will permanently disable moon mode. |

Hi Aaron Thanks thats very useful Just one more thing and then that should be it I hope you can see my site - https://myallskycamera.ddns.net/indi-allsky/ I am getting a star trail and keogram but I would quite like to have the circular keogram around the star trail but its not working . I thought I had set it up correctly but I must of missed something. Can you take a look and tell me when you have a spare minute Can you also tell me how I can change the apache listening port from 80 to something else I already have a pi with a webserver on that port Warm Wishes Graham |

The port can be changed in /etc/apache2/sites-available/indi-allsky.conf The If you want, you can setup a login for me to login to the web config. This may be the first time I have logged into the web interface of someone else's system. :-) You can fit your keogram better around your image circle by setting your image circle to ~1600 in the wrapped keogram timelapse settings. I just re-read your message again and I missed the detail about wrapping around the startrail. I do not think this is possible currently ( to wrap the image around the startrail). I can investigate that. |

Hi Aaron I still have one issue with mini-timelapses When I select it from the Media tab I just get a rotating busy circle that just goes round and round If you have a minute would you have a look and see if there is a problem The login and password sent via previous pm are still active Thanks |

That happens because there are no mini-timelapses. The ajax call fails so the code to turn off the loader (the rotating circle is called a loader) never fires. |

I wonder if you can help
for some reason my star trail timelapses are not being generated but the keograms are
They were all right up until the 10th March but nothing for the 11th or 12th, something must have changed but Im not sure what

It is probably because we are at full moon. The default star trails settings exclude all images captured during moon mode. There are options in the Config -> Processing to modify this behavior. |

I hope you dont mind but i thought it better to email you with this problem as I think it may be specific to my system
For about a week now I am getting the following error

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

I have tried rebooting multiple times and resetting my router but nothing seems to help
I can ping my pi but i cant ssh into it or anything and turning my firewall off doesnt help either
The only way round it is to re-install or update the indi-sky software which then allows me access for a while
Do you have any idea s to what might cause this and how I can fix it

Check the log at /var/log/indi-allsky/webapp-indi-allsky.log and see if you see any exceptions.

I looked through everything, I think the reason those two days did not generate is long gone. The rotated logs are only kept for 6 days. I am going to update the log rotation to save 30 days. |

Aaron I have been using certbot --apache which I seem to have to do every time I update allsky If I dont do this then Firefox and Edge wont let me logon because of security issues and I cant seem to override it - Im using both the browsers on Windows 11 Do you know of a way around this Warm Wishes Graham |

The default indi-allsky Apache config points at a different file location for the SSL certificates. When you update indi-allsky it just changes back to the indi-allsky defaults. Let me think about what to do to prevent this from happening in the future. |

I meant the web interface of your switch (assuming it has one). The reason I am asking is regular PoE (802.3af) is just barely sufficient to power the Pi5. The Pi5 really needs >15W (PoE+) to be stable. |

The fact that the error message mentions Apache and port 443 I think its a security issue with Firefox/Edge and that I have to install a certificate in order to see the allsky site How I fix it I dont know - I would like to do away with the ssl cerificate altogether but the fact that allsky uses https means I cant Warm Wishes Graham |

I am still able to connect to it remotely. It is possible to run without the SSL cert, but it is not recommended as a general best practice. This would mean things like passwords would be transmitted in cleartext. https://github.com/aaronwmorris/indi-allsky/wiki/Disable-HTTPS |

Hi Aaron Thanks for looking into this - Im still not sure what the problem is myself I did wonder whether its NOIP causing the problem because I use that to enable access over the internet away from my home network I'm a bit reluctant to disable HTTPS but that might be the only way to go Is there another method to install an SSL certificate without certbot - I could try that I dont want to waste too much of your time on this though - you have done a lot already Warm Wishes Graham |

There is an nginx template at You could run the setup and force the setup script to treat your system as stellarmate. This should do the nginx setup automatically using ports 444/81. |
