Network IP cameras are the most difficult to customize. You are correct that the IP Camera controls its own exposure, it also controls its own gain. I am not sure if you can use dark frames with IP cameras. Generating darks generally requires careful control of both exposure and gain from the camera, and there is no control with IP cameras. I am not discouraging you from experimenting, I would very much like to hear your experience in trying these things. |

Hi Awesome people im on version2 of my setup giving the systems more horse power :-)
I've moved from Pi to Proxmox VM with Debian Linux OS.
What settings for a IP camera just capturing standard still frames.
Assuming stacking, dark frames etc could up the details?
Assume that all the exposure settings etc are set by camera its self? That a mission it it sown right.
Is their anything else in all this setting that work for IP cameras?
I will look at getting something better if I can get this to look semi decent at least. And also raise it up onto roof when I get a ladder :-)
