Unattended Upgrade still beta? #2684
-
|
Is the Unattended upgrade still a beta kind of thing, or is it now the preferred way to do indi-all sky updates? Lately it's been silent, so I can't tell if it's updated successfully or not. I've reverted back to manual updates. |

The unattended upgrade is basically stable. I will remove the "beta" tag in an upcoming release. There are a few things that can prevent an upgrade from completing. They are noted here: https://github.com/aaronwmorris/indi-allsky/wiki/Updating-indi-allsky#unattended-upgrade I also added an additional command to show the log of a previous upgrade so you can see why it failed. I am also going to reduce the expirations of upgrade Notification messages, which is why you may not be getting feed back. You can always just manually run the upgrade script from the CLI, as well. |

Before coming here I was just thinking how nice this feature is. Thanks for adding it. |
