Question (Beginner): Can I connect NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX to Unitree Go2 Pro? How to physically connect (Wi-Fi / direct) and which connector to use?
#195
I am a beginner working on a research project and I attended a Go2 demo recently. I’m planning to use a Unitree Go2 Pro together with an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX for onboard vision and deep learning tasks, and I could not find clear instructions for the Pro model.
Could you please help with two basic questions? I’m new to this, so any level of detail is appreciated.
Can the Go2 Pro be connected to a Jetson Orin NX?
If yes, in practice do people connect via Wi-Fi (robot AP / same LAN) or via a direct physical link (Ethernet / USB3 / M.2 / UART)?
Which method do you recommend for stable ROS2/DDS or WebRTC use on Pro?
If direct physical connection is possible, which connector/port should be used?
e.g., is there a specific Ethernet port, USB3 header, M.2 slot, TTL UART pins, or an expansion connector on Pro for attaching an external compute module?
Any recommended adapter boards/cables/power considerations would be very helpful.
I’m a beginner, so please feel free to include very basic steps, commands, or links (e.g., config files, example branches, or issues) — anything that would help me reproduce the setup. If it’s easier, short pointers to existing examples or PRs are also fine.
