Warning: online file integrity failure + duplicates creation

Hi there,

When saving a text file, I'm regulary getting warning such as:

I have noticed that it creates duplicates of files:

Despite following the same instructions, I keep having this issue. Here's my config file - exactly the same settings:

force_session_upload = "true"
delay_inotify_processing = "true"
inotify_delay = "10"

From observing changes through OneDriveGUI, what I notice is that despite the inotify_delay and delay_inotify_processing settings, there doesn't seem to be any delay in practice. As soon as I change a file, OneDriveGUI shows me that the onedrive client is trying to sync changes right away.

That tells me that your configuration change for your GUI managed instance has not been restarted and/or picking up the change to delay inotify processing.

The technical change (those options) 100% work and delay the processing of local changes.

Raise your concern with OneDriveGUI as that is where the issue lies - not here.

Thanks for your prompt reply. While I have your attention, is there a way I can test in the terminal to make sure that the changes are being processed correctly by onedrive client, so I can confirm to the GUI team that there problem is indeed on their side?

You will need to:

• Stop the OneDriveGUI
• Stop any 'service' the OneDriveGUI is running
• Understand where the OneDriveGUI is storing your 'config' file
• From a terminal start the client manually in --monitor --verbose mode and passing in the correct --confdir option for where your OneDriveGUI configuration file exists

After reviewing the provided debug log this appears to most likely be an atomic save issue.

Please can you advise how you are editing your markdown files.

Hey @abraunegg , as answered by email, I'm using Sublime Text to edit these files.

Onedrive config settings skip_file and force_session_upload didn't seem to solve the issue. Gonna try with both of these next, as suggested in Obsidian doc

No more issues noticed since I configured that way! :

cat ~/.config/onedrive/config | grep -v '#'

delay_inotify_processing = "true"
inotify_delay = "10"
force_session_upload = "true"
