Description
Hello,
I created applications in my AcoustID account, but the API keys shown on the application pages are only short 8–10 character User API keys (e.g. "B51cQ8XzH").
However, according to the documentation (https://acoustid.org/webservice#lookup), the /v2/lookup endpoint requires an Application Client API key which should be a 32-character hex string (e.g. "93d1266ce5c441066b531582e68b5742").
When I try to use the short keys with lookup, I always get:
{
"error": {
"code": 4,
"message": "invalid API key"
},
"status": "error"
}
It looks like the web UI is not providing the Client key at all.
My applications:
- TagFixer → https://acoustid.org/application/10078 → shows only short key "B51cQ8XzH"
- MyMusicTool → https://acoustid.org/application/10079 → shows only short key "FsK14H3xD"
Steps to reproduce:
- Go to https://acoustid.org/api-key
- Create a new application
- Open the application page
- Only short User key is shown, no 32-character Client key
Expected:
The application page should show a 32-character Application Client API key for use with /v2/lookup.
Actual:
Only a short User key is displayed, which cannot be used with lookup (always returns "invalid API key").
Could you please regenerate or provide proper Client API keys for my applications (IDs: 10078, 10079)? Without them, the lookup API cannot be used.
Thanks!
