RunnerDeployment exists but no pods

Trying to set this up in our AWS Playground account.

Not sure I understand either of the questions. Sorry, learning as I go here. 🙈

I deploy using Tanka, so tk apply.

Which controller?

$ kc -n ci get all
No resources found in ci namespace.

A tk apply of what? https://github.com/actions-runner-controller/actions-runner-controller#installation how have you installed the controller? If you've just installed the default manifest then there will be a namespace called actions-runner-system. There will be a controller pod with a container called manager. The logs of the manager will be a good place to start.

If you've just installed the CRDs only then you haven't installed the application and won't be anything to create the replicas from the RunnerDeployment.
