Missing product template page leads to 404 response page being used for pdp rendering

When a non existing PRODUCTS_TEMPLATE URL is configured, prepareBaseTemplate ignores the response code and the returned 404 page content is used as the basis for PDP rendering.
Ideally, rendering is skipped with an error if the pdp template page cannot be found.
