ListBox vs GridList (vs Menu?)

ListBox and GridList are so similar, that I'm having trouble deciding which to use sometimes. Menu is here as an honorable mention since it's at least clearly meant to be open on a button click, unlike the other 2, though why it's a separate component rather than another ListBox is unclear just the same.

My general understanding is that:

• GridList is what you'd go for in a generic interface
• ListBox is something you'd attach to an input

However, examples for both show almost the same thing, with any mention of Inputs missing from ListBox. Both support 'stack' and 'grid' layout, single and multiple selection, drag and drop, links.

The only difference I can name without comparing features one by one is no Section support in GridList, which is "on the roadmap".

While I'd appreciate an answer just for me, I think having an article on that listed from the docs to all 3 would be valuable.

Note: The ARIA spec prohibits listbox items from including interactive content such as buttons, checkboxes, etc. For these cases, see GridList instead.

Note: Use GridList when your list items may contain interactive elements such as buttons, checkboxes, menus, etc. within them. If your list items contain only static content such as text and images, then consider using ListBox instead for a slightly better screen reader experience (especially on mobile).

I'll be honest, I skip right past the "features" section of the docs, usually, and look at the navigation menu instead.
"Accessible", "Touch-friendly", "Supports keyboard navigation" are all just general features of react-aria to me, rather than specific component's, and since that's half the list, the whole section feels like noise for SEO or something.
