AGS 4.0: float properties input is still region-dependent

It appears that the floating-point fields in the Property Grid still have a region-dependent input format. Although the floats are written using "invariant culture" into xml, but they have to be typed using regional settings in the editor.

That's inconvenient, because requires user to remember to type separator depending on their current system setting, and inconsistent with the floats in script.

There should be a simple way to enforce invariant culture in the property grid too.

I know the non-simple way of using a Type Converter attribute for this and marking every attribute only... Unless there is a way to make it the default for floats. I also found a SingleConverter object that perhaps helps to make the type converter implementation simpler?

I don't know if this is the source code for the property grid, but I think it somehow doesn't know about these basic types and the handling of these default conversions is elsewhere.

Another approach I haven’t looked into yet, but I guess has to be possible, is I wonder if winforms doesn’t have a setting that makes the entire program either culture invariant or a specific culture.
