Key Topics Discussed

1. Directory Package Decoupling

   • Non-core features (e.g. SDK packages, MCP server, importer/exporter, GUI) will be moved out of main directory repository.
   • Work is nearly complete and will be included in the upcoming release. Updates will be shared in Slack.

2. Custom Deployments

   • The Directory staging repo will support multiple deployment environments - including local daemon, Kubernetes native and other flavors, and cloud provider-specific deployments. Local daemon will have all features previously available only through cloud deployments.

3. AI Catalog Update

   • The initial draft of AAIF’s AI Catalog Discovery protocol was recently agreed upon with Google, Anthropic etc.
   • Work is underway to adjust OASF and Directory project to support this new protocol and interconnect between different registries. A more detailed update will be shared in two weeks.

4. Agent Skills Import/Export Flow Demo

   • The demo showcased how to import an agent skill into a Directory/OASF record, search for and export the skill.md file for the imported record to find it in the directory on a local machine. The feature will support export of individual skills or batch exporting all skills filtered by module name.
   • The import feature is currently available. The export feature will be included in the upcoming release.

5. Upcoming Work

   • 1. 3 release is scheduled for the end of next week including fully functional local directory installation. Community contributions are requested for good first issues with the upcoming release. These will be labeled and the team will send out notifications on Slack
   • The overview.md file has been updated. Request for PR review
   • The Directory documentation structure is being re-organized. It will be reviewed in an upcoming meeting and in shared in Slack before completion.
