Epic: Support Anthropic Agent Skills in OASF

Anthropic’s Agent Skills are portable folders containing instructions, scripts, and resources that give AI agents reusable, domain‑specific capabilities. Each skill is defined by a SKILL.md file with metadata and workflow instructions, following an open standard adopted across multiple agent platforms 1.

The goal of this epic is to add first‑class support for Agent Skills within the Open Agentic Schema Framework (OASF). OASF already provides standardized structures for agent capabilities and metadata, and can be extended with modules for new features 2.

Objectives

• Introduce an agentskills module to represent skill metadata, source, versioning, and capabilities.
• Enable validation of SKILL.md files and referenced artifacts against the official standard.

Outcome

OASF records will be able to reference, validate, and govern Agent Skills, improving interoperability and allowing consistent use of standardized skills across agent frameworks.
