Filter - return number of results

When a filter is applied, users would like to see the total number of offender records returned by the filter, and the number of records visible in the current view. The number of records in the current view should change as users pan and zoom. For example, "Showing 132 offenders of 350 found by filter"

when a... selection is made, return a count somewhere. For example, if I select probation, low, give me a count in a corner saying there are 200 that meet that criteria.
