Two issues with the first page

I experience two issues whenever I open a new document:

1. The top of the screen in Sioyek is blank in almost all instances
2. Bionic reading is only enabled from the second page.

Am I doing anything wrong? I have tried to remove the toggle_visual_scroll from the startup commands in prefs.config file but observe the same behaviour.

For the fastread issue you need to delete enable_experimental_features 1 from your config.

The blank issue is fixed in 5670224.

Thanks for the update. I have had longstanding trouble in compiling Sioyek from source due to the black hole of missing libraries. Tried again and I got this error message:
