Main page hover previews bug - hover previews keep glitching and restarting
And also it's blocking ability to open videos in new tab.
Also, it seems that bug doesn't appear if not logged in.

I'm using Opera Browser, checked on 117.0.5408.53, and updated to 117.0.5408.142, in both bugged.
I tested on Edge which is logged on different account and even imported same config, and no bug, so maybe it's something with Opera or maybe unlikely conflict with some different extensions or particular account/s.

It seems on 5.10 and 5.9.1 not bugged.
And on 5.11 it is bugged.
But those are just quick tests, maybe if I will have more time I will try to find when the bug started.

I can confirm that I get the same issue on Firefox using version 5.12.4.

It looks like you have another extension conflicting

It looks like the difference between the two versions where the issue happens and the issue doesn't is that sponsorblock was updated to include the updated selector for the newer hover preview. So, on the older version, sponsorblock is just not doing anything to the hover preview.

I think another extension is conflicting with the preview bar that sponsorblock adds to the hover preview

It's vidIQ, and I think I disabled it at some point to test if this is the reason, and it wasn't. But I don't have it on Edge, so who knows, maybe didn't clear cache or just coincidence.
As per extensions just for YT I have speed control and maybe some userscripts, but IMO it's highly unlikely that other 2 users use those same extensions, userscripts, or any other extensions. Also I have both on Edge too.
I would try to test without any other extensions, only if Opera had an easy way to create/manage profiles...
So for now downgrade to 5.10.4 has to be enough.
Unless I get some free time and be unlazy.

@ajayyy I have also been experiencing this issue, but i have tested without any other youtube extensions enabled and it still persists. After further testing, it does not seem to me that a conflicting extension is the source of the problem.

(Only other chrome youtube related extensions i have are "Windowed Fullscreen mode", "YouTube Livestreams Theater Mode" and "Return Youtube Dislike". Turning off these extensions did not resolve the issue, only turning off sponsorblock did).

Have uploaded another video showing the issue since the link showing the original issue does not work.

Regarding the issue, for some thumbnails, the preview won't play at all, and for others, it might play correctly for 20 seconds and then restart back to 0 seconds.

Have tried with all other extensions disabled except sponsorblock and issue still persists. Using google chrome on macos.
