Description
Sometimes when editing with preexisting edits they cause issues when trying to check/improve alignment. If I see errors in the existing skip then I will downvote+copy and begin shifting it but sometimes it is hard to tell if a 'better' edit can be made until I have tried; Usually I find a better edit but sometimes the otherwise bad looking edit still turns out better than alternatives. If a video is new, I have concern of taking away a sloppy edit while I create a new one as I am not always fast to create my edits. I also often try to upload many/all edits of a video at once instead of pressing upload for every edit individually so a new video may go longer without my edits as I watch it and find more.
Being able to enable/disable preexisting edits from jumping during editing would help.
Being able to enable/disable new edits would also be a helpful control as it is easier than deleting/recreating, editing the times to temporarily move it, and more useful than switching to mute.
If implemented, the check for if edits were previewed before upload should confirm that each edit is previewed and not skipped but ran across..
