Nice suggestion but it's more complicated and it will take more time so for now let's see what others think about it. |

I really like this idea. As far as I know, there’s a similar (but closed-source) concept in an app called Brick, which uses NFC tags to “lock” the phone until you scan again. Here’s also a Reddit thread discussing how people use it to physically enforce app blocking. I think this would be a great addition to Mindful. Technically it shouldn’t be too difficult—there are libraries for NFC management already. It might not even take much time to prototype. I actually have a few NFC tags at home, so I might try experimenting and report back if I learn anything useful about integratinging it. |

This would a great feature to add. There are a few open-source focus apps that have been developed with this functionality, but they are ios only |

Idea suggestion: How about an NFC-based ‘focus lock’? Picture this: you’re in the zone, with a session focus session already started, but the urge to check your phone creeps in. Instead of instantly giving in, you’d have to consciously get up, walk to another room where the NFC tag is located, and scan it to activate the focus lock. This deliberate action creates a powerful physical barrier, similar to the Brick, forcing you to reconsider ... It could be an additional building block with some new creative options to start and stop focus sessions.
