Add Unit Tests to Repo

This repo is currently premature without any tests, I'll be linking multiple issues/ features here that require testing before actual deployment.

• Tests for ts-migration branch
• Tests for dev branch

Tests in ts branch should be in Typescript and dev branch in JS, as TS migration might take longer than current cohort.

will recommend using vitest over jest for better typescript support (ts-jest is often tricky)
